RED AND BLACK ANGUS

     Angus breeders from Jalisco and Durango came to northern Alberta in the winter of 2012 to select cattle for their ranches in Mexico,far from the beaches and their hot climate. On ranches near Edmonton and Grande Prairie, our customers found the quality of cattle they were looking for, and selected 180 head of Registered Red Angus, including 175 females and 5 bulls. In follow-up conversations, the buyers are extremely happy with their purchases and the cattle are adapting well in their new surroundings. The calving of the bred heifers went very well. 
     The breeders in Alberta were pleased with the sale of their animals and will be accompanying me to visit Mexico this fall to see their cattle in another country. Red and Black Angus have the good genetics to adapt well to many different climates, from Canadian winters to Mexican summers.
